Where is the best place for your Television?

There are a number of different surfaces, locations, and ways to mount a Television in your home or business. Its also popular to have a TV installed in some Home Theaters, it just depends on your priorities.  We’ll cover the most important topics of Houston TV Installation projects. One thing that is for sure is that in many cases, a TV can’t be mounted in any location in your room. Sure, it may be possible, but you get into an accelerated cost to do so, as well as more cutting and coring and construction going on. In general, our clients like to keep their drywall intact. There is just something that is defeating by seeing the drywall in your home get cut into pieces. I will say that whatever the case, homeowners would rather have us cut into their drywall, anytime. Why? They can hold us accountable to what we are doing, and if something goes wrong, they can lay the blame on us.

TV Installation Location

The most popular locations to mount your TV are above the fireplace, on a drywall in the living area, on a bedroom wall, and on the patio. Most of the time, we can hide the wires behind the walls. Our electricians also install an electrical bridge kit behind each TV that meets code requirements for power. Cost for these is almost always cheaper than any quote for an electrical outlet. If this is not possible, you’ll need an electrician to install an outlet in a correct location.

Surfaces

We run into different surfaces all the time. Brick, Drywall, Siding (patio), Marble & Tile (fireplaces) and much more. We evaluate each surface upon arrival and first decide whether or not it can be completed how you would like. Usually its not a problem. We have special bolts that help increase the strength of a surface as well if we cannot find studs behind the walls in the proper positions.

Mounting Styles

It’s your choice! Many folks like to have a TV flat mounted as flush against the wall as possible, or with a slight tilt. Others want to be able to adjust and view the TV from different angles. Often times, our clients will want a TV mounted in their living room on an articulating mount that can rotate 180 degrees, to be viewable also from the patio. Very cool. The surface mounted on will dictate whether or not your TV is able to utilize the articulating capability. We won’t install anything that we don’t deem as safe. We do this every day, and we don’t take risks when safety is involved. Many commercial locations need a TV Installed from a hanging pole, and this is also a standard type of installation.
